Anyone flying to Indonesia - including Bali, Lombok, Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Labuan Bajo, and every other international gateway in the country - now has a new pre-arrival requirement to complete. As of 16 July 2026, the All Indonesia Arrival Card (AIAC) is compulsory for all international travellers, and it must be submitted online before you board.
What Is the AIAC?
The AIAC is a digital form that consolidates several previously separate arrival processes - immigration details, customs declaration, health screening, and quarantine information - into a single online submission. Think of it as an electronic arrival card replacing the paper forms you would previously fill in on the plane or at the airport kiosk.
Once submitted, you receive a QR code which you present alongside your passport on arrival. There is no charge to complete it.
How to Submit It
The form is available at the official Indonesian government immigration portal, allindonesia.imigrasi.go.id, or through the All Indonesia app. You have a window of 72 hours before your scheduled arrival to complete it - so any time in the three days before you fly works, and doing it from home on your own Wi-Fi is more reliable than attempting it after landing.
You will need to have ready:
- Your passport details (number, nationality, expiry date)
- Your flight or transport information
- Your accommodation address in Indonesia
- A brief recent travel history
- Customs declaration (goods and currency you are carrying)
If you are travelling as a family, each person - including children - needs a separate submission.
Why This Matters
Authorities say the AIAC is designed to streamline airport arrivals and reduce congestion at immigration counters by capturing information before travellers land. In practice, it also gives immigration officials the ability to flag arrivals for closer inspection if travel history or declared goods raise questions.
The mandatory rollout on 16 July 2026 means there is no optional phase. Travellers arriving without a completed AIAC will be directed to complete it at the airport, which adds time and may mean missing an onward connection.
What Stays the Same
The AIAC is an addition to - not a replacement for - your existing visa requirements. Citizens of countries that require a visa-on-arrival for Indonesia still need to pay for and obtain that visa at the airport as before. Complete the AIAC through the official government portal only. Several unofficial third-party sites mimic the interface and charge fees for a form that is free to submit directly.
