Senggigi is Lombok’s main tourist hub on the northwest coast - a beach town that grew through the 1990s as an overflow option for Bali visitors and has since developed its own distinct accommodation market. North Senggigi and Mangsit: Quieter and More Scenic
The stretch north of central Senggigi toward Mangsit village is where the best snorkelling coves and the quietest boutique properties are concentrated. Fewer restaurants but a significantly more relaxed atmosphere.
Mid-Range - Mangsit (IDR 400,000–1,200,000/night)
Qunci Villas - the standout property in north Senggigi: 50 villas and suites in a lush garden facing the ocean. Three infinity pools, a spa, and the well-regarded Qunci restaurant. Pool Villa Club Lombok (Mangsit) - 18 private pool villas in a quiet garden compound. Rates approximately IDR 700,000–1,500,000/night. Suited to couples or small groups seeking privacy without going to full-luxury pricing.
The Santosa Villas and Resort - larger property with 43 sea-view villas across a hillside above Mangsit Bay. Rates approximately IDR 600,000–1,200,000/night. The bay views from the upper villas are among the best in the area; the access road is narrow.
Hillside and Out-of-Town Options
The hills above Senggigi offer a few boutique alternatives for visitors who want Lombok views without being on the beach.
Mid-Range - Hillside (IDR 400,000–900,000/night)
Kebun Villas and Resort (Kerandangan, north of Senggigi) - 8 private villas in a jungle river valley about 7 km north of central Senggigi. Rates approximately IDR 500,000–1,000,000/night. Getting Here: Lombok Airport to Senggigi
Lombok International Airport (LOP) is in Praya, approximately 30–35 km southeast of Senggigi. Journey time is 45–60 minutes.

- Pre-booked hotel transfer - most mid-range and above Senggigi hotels offer airport pickup. Rates typically IDR 150,000–250,000 per vehicle. Worth confirming pickup logistics on arrival night.
Getting to the Gili Islands from Senggigi
Bangsal Harbour, the main departure point for public boats to the Gili Islands, is approximately 20 km north of central Senggigi (30–40 minutes by Grab). Fast boat services to Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno, and Gili Air operate from here and from Teluk Nare (a short drive north of Bangsal). Journey time to Gili Trawangan is approximately 20–30 minutes by fast boat, and fares run approximately IDR 60,000–150,000 per person depending on service.

Getting Around Senggigi
The main strip is somewhat walkable - central restaurants and the beach are within walking distance of most strip hotels. For north Senggigi, Mangsit, and day trips, Grab and scooter rental (IDR 70,000–90,000/day) are the practical choices.
